Fairies

On Monday, the children discovered a trail of fairy dust in the reception garden. They followed the trail and were surprised to find a fairy door had appeared.

This led to lots of writing to the fairy.

The fairy even replied the next day:

More children replied to Elvina.

We'll have to see what happens next.....

Human Body

The children are enjoying the new topic of  the human body.
A tiny human body by Olive
Emily K's model of a human body, including sticks for the bones.
A group of children decided to make their own human body. They drew around a child, then cut it out. They looked in a book to find out what to include on the body. They finished it off by adding straws for bones and drawing the intestines.

The children also learnt about how ears work, and enjoyed investigating the model that Charlotte had brought in.

Freddy the Tortoise Visits Our Class

On the last day of term, Connie's pet tortoise came to visit us. We all had a look at him and some of us had a stroke of him.

The children enjoyed watching him move and were surprised at how fast he could go.
A big thank you to Connie and her mum for bringing Freddy in.
